Least Requested Entry Pages - Help Card  This section identifies the pages visitors first saw when they entered this site. This is most likely your home page but, in some cases, it may also be specific URLs that visitors enter to access a particular page directly. For example, if a visitor enters http://www.WebTrends.com/WT-QA.HTM, he/she entered at the WT-QA.HTM page. Percentages refer to the total number of visitor sessions that started with a valid Document Type. If a session started on a document with a different type (such as a graphic or sound file), the file would not be counted as an Entry Page, and the session is not included in the total. Such sessions are often the product of other sites referencing a specific downloadable file or graphic for example on your site. In such cases, a session may have a single hit to a non-document type file, and will not be counted for the percentage calculations. Also, web servers do not always log hits in perfect chronological order. For example, a hit to a GIF file can appear in the log before the hit to the HTML page that refers to this GIF. Tip: Consider using the Entry Page filter to include or exclude entire visitor sessions based upon the first page a visitor viewed.  This statistic can indicate how you might want to optimize the architecture of your site based on where visitors are entering. You can also determine which external links to your site are least effective.
